This bedroom is on the ground floor and it is adapted to disable people. Through the figure of Beatriz Núñez, we want our guests to learn about the Convent of Conception, nowadays the church of Fatima, founded in 1571 by Don García de Merlo and his wife Beatriz Núñez.
The Convent was built over a site that belonged to Beatriz Núñez’s family. She is buried in the main altar of the church.

Pedro Millán
This bedroom is on the first floor and it has a terrace to enjoy the great views. Pedro Millán was a well-known sculptor of religious figures from Sevil. He sculpted the image of “Cristo de la Reja” (Christ of the Grill) which is situated in the Main Chapel of the Convent of San Benito.
Isaac Abravanel
This illuminated bedroom on the first floor takes us to the Jewish past of Segura de León. It is said that the Jewish Quarter was over the streets known today as Castillo, Portugalejo, Santa Cruz and Mesones. The Synagogue was in Castle Street and it had a portico and a big room with a choir just for women. There are no remainders nowadays. Isaac Abravanel livid in that Jewish Quart in the year 1483. He was one of the richest and most powerful man fom Portugal. He arrived in Segura running away from the Portuguese King Juan II. He was Minister of Treasury, theologist and leader of the Jewish community
Hernán Mejías
This bedroom is on the ground floor and it is open to the patio. Hernán Mejías was an important citizen of Segura and he paid the building of the so called Hernán Mejías’ Chapel (The Side Chapel) which is in the Main Church “Asunción”. The Side Chapel has got two stained glass windows and was built with the gold brought from the treasure of Atahualpa since Diego Mejías, Hernán’s son, took part in the conquest of Perú. The plateresque bars that give access to the chapel are of great relevance.
Garcilaso de la Vega
This fantastic bedroom, whose balcony has great views of the Santiguist Castle, is name after the father of the great poet Garcilaso de la Vega. Garci Laso de la Vega was Mayor Knight Commander and lived in the castle between the years 1504 and 1512. While he was in the castle he ordered to build known as Garcilaso de la Vega Room. Who knows, but maybe the little Garcilaso could walk along the castle battlements and play in the Courtyard.
Alonso de Cárdenas
Sir Alonso de Cárdenas was the last grand master of the Santiaguist Order and it was he who ordered the building of the new wall in the castle about 1483 as well as the building of the cilindric tower and the bastion over the main door.
